We work with a number of suppliers in Spain who will allow you to hire a car with your debit card. Suppliers in Spain will normally freeze a certain value on your card to cover the excess and safe return of the vehicle. You will also typically need to have a card with raised numbers such as a Visa debit or Mastercard that can be swiped. Cards such as Visa Electron and Solo are unlikely to be accepted.

You must have the correct type of debit card, appropriate identification including your driving license and a utility bill or passport. You will also normally need to have sufficient funds for the supplier to freeze a deposit on your card.

Indigo is by far and away the best car hire agent I've ever dealt with and as such, I use them every month and have never had a bad experience. Their operators are super friendly, very helpful and genuinely cheerful. Price-wise, I haven't found anybody cheaper and being able to pay with a debit card is a massive plus. Indigo's fully comprehensive insurance for £40 for the year is an absolute winner. If only all companies operated with such friendly professionalism, we'd be in a better place. Definitely recommended!
This review is 100% genuine. If you are questioning whether these guys are genuine or can really arrange Debit Card hire, its true! I have used this service a few times and it is spot on. No issues with car hire companies in the terminal, no issues with deposits being returned (although it does take a couple of weeks) and their customer service on the phone or webchat has been impeccable.
