Costa Calida

Costa Calida in as an English translation means Warm Coast, this is because of the regions micro-climate which means that Costa Calida get very hot mean annual temperatures. Part of the coastline towards the northern edge includes the Mar Menor or in English little sea which is a saltwater lagoon and is the largest within Europe. Costa Calida has been brought quite a bit of fame because of its golf courses with Pga Championships taking place on courses such as el Valle, there’s also the Hacienda del Alamo which is the longest golf course in Spain and then the famous La Manga club.

The region is also know from a geographical point of view with the strange contrasts between dry vs. irrigated lands and plains vs. mountainous areas as well as other things like coastline vs. interior and vineyards vs. mesetas. A long with this its cost which ranges 170km has a range of different things to see such as covers, small beaches, rocky shores and massive cliffs. It’s a really fascinating place to visit popular with people who enjoy a bit of adventure.

Dublin Airport car rental via Easirent

Very helpful staff, Good quality vehicle and a very easy to use process. Only very small criticism was finding the shuttle bus, a phone call is required to find out you need to go to Zone 18, there are signposts telling you the direction to Zone 18 but no actual signs showing where Zone 18 actually is, but even with this very small detail it was a relatively easy process start to finish

Do I need to pass a credit check if using my debit card to hire?

If renting a car in the UK and you are a UK resident most of the large multinational suppliers will carry out an electronic address check to ensure you have strong enough links to the address provided. However most of the suppliers with the exception of 1 or 2, still carry out the same checks so not unique to when you need to hire via a debit card. Key indicator are if you are named on the Electoral Register and named on the council tax bill.

When renting a car overseas as an inbound client our suppliers do not carry out any checks.

Do I need to leave a deposit if hiring with a debit card?

Most suppliers do require a security deposit when renting a car, in the UK we have a range of options. The best value suppliers would request a £200.00 – £300.00 deposit. However we do have selected locations where our supplier does not require any deposit, so a full zero deposit.

In Europe we have options where you can just leave a fuel deposit of 110 EUR, and there is no mandatory requirement to take the Super Cover as this can be the case with some of the smaller budget suppliers.
