Avis were brilliant

Thanks again Indigo for arranging my hire car through Avis. Arrived last saturday to collect 2 hours early and they were very accommodating. Upgraded me to a mini mpv from a hatchback which was perfect for our little camping holiday.

Paid with my debit card and they only took a deposit for a tank of fuel which was refunded when i returned the car full. Faultless service from them and as usual from you guys. well done

We had a real problem in that we had to upgrade from 2 small cars to one 7 seater as my partner had broken his shoulder and couldn't drive. The 7 seaters had seemed totally out of our price range so we were really worried how we would afford it. Our customer adviser Adam Richardson showed great sympathy and professionalism in finding us a car and at a price we could afford with only 5 days to go til the holiday. We were so grateful to him for making what was a horrible situation a lot more bearable and allowing us to still get on our holiday. He is polite, efficient and nothing is too much trouble. If the rest of the team is like this I would suggest this level of service is pretty unusual in the car rental industry.

Do I need to pass a credit check if using my debit card to hire?

If renting a car in the UK and you are a UK resident most of the large multinational suppliers will carry out an electronic address check to ensure you have strong enough links to the address provided. However most of the suppliers with the exception of 1 or 2, still carry out the same checks so not unique to when you need to hire via a debit card. Key indicator are if you are named on the Electoral Register and named on the council tax bill.

When renting a car overseas as an inbound client our suppliers do not carry out any checks.

Do I need to leave a deposit if hiring with a debit card?

Most suppliers do require a security deposit when renting a car, in the UK we have a range of options. The best value suppliers would request a £200.00 – £300.00 deposit. However we do have selected locations where our supplier does not require any deposit, so a full zero deposit.

In Europe we have options where you can just leave a fuel deposit of 110 EUR, and there is no mandatory requirement to take the Super Cover as this can be the case with some of the smaller budget suppliers.

Hiring A 7 Seater With A Debit Card

Wanting to hire a 7 seater without a credit card? It can be a really hard task as most rental companies only ever accept the use of them. We have however managed to arrange a great deal which allows us in specific location to hire out 7 seaters using debit cards given that your debit card meets our restrictions of course. Is a 7 seater not quite going to cut it? If you require more space we have the alternative options of 8 seater car hire or 9 seater car hire.

Age Restrictions On People Carriers

Typically 7 seaters only allow you to be 25 or over and have held your licence for a year prior to hiring however we have managed to arrange a deal. The only deal we could strike is that 24 year olds can also hire the 5+2 seaters as they weren’t budging in terms of their restrictions, however if you are 24 or over and want more information on young driver car hire for 7 seaters then please call us directly on +44 (0)113 880 0748 or email us at [email protected].

Hiring A 7 Seater People Carrier With No Deposit

You may or may not know that deposits on hired vehicles can cost up to £5000, which is a very large amount to have frozen on your card at any one time especially if you are on holiday. This is inconvenient so because of this we looked for alternative options and managed to come up with a deal which allow us to offer our customers no deposit.

Difference Between 5+2 & 7 Seater

Often people get confused as 5+2 = 7 right? Well it’s not quite as simple as that, 5+2 seaters tend to be smaller than what we like to refer to as “true” 7 seaters. Typical 5+2 seaters are for example like the Vauxhall Zafira which is a bit smaller than a Ford Galaxy for example (7 seater). The difference is basically just a bit of leg room and luggage space so it’s up to you in regards to which of the two vehicles you will need depending on how much luggage you are carrying.
