I have used hire cars at least twice a year for over 20 years. Only when I emigrated and stupidly gave up my UK credit card did I find Indigo, as they provide hire cars for those with only a debit card. I wish I had used them sooner. They are super efficient and the whole process has been amazing in every country I have hired in. I will never use another hire car company again.
