Yes, depending on what country you want to hire in, you will be allowed to hire with a Maestro card. As a general rule, you will need the following:

Do I have to pay a deposit if I hire with a Maestro card?
Many suppliers require you to leave a deposit regardless of your payment method. In some cases, we may be able to offer car hire with no deposit, so it never hurts to ask. Car hire with a low deposit is available in some locations so you will only have to pay a significantly smaller sum of money. When you get to the rental desk the deposit will be frozen on your card or taken off. Upon return, providing there was no issues, the deposit will be unfrozen or refunded to your card. The refunding process usually takes 5 to 10 working days.
