Car hire can be a bit of a confusing subject as there are different terms and conditions for every little part of the process. We aim to make it 100% clear to people absolutely everything however we can’t possibly put all of the questions about Italy that we get so here are some of our most popular.

Can I hire a car without a credit card in Italy?

Yes this is possible in several locations, we can offer an alternative, debit card car hire.

Can you get a low deposit car hire in Italy?

Yes in some locations we can hire out cars with absolutely no deposit!

Whats the cost of reducing car hire excess to zero in Italy?

This is usually around 17 euros a day, depending upon location.

Can you do a one way car hire from Italy to another European country?

Yes this is available but there are a lot of restrictions so please call us to arrange this.

Can I hire a car in Italy if I am over 70?

Yes this isn’t an issue as our upper age limit is 99.

Can I hire a car in Italy with driving convictions?

Yes but it depends what it is and how long it has been since the conviction, for more details please call us.

Can I hire a car in Italy without my counterpart?

Yes this is possible thanks to our new deal.

I haven’t got my confirmation! Can you help?

Of course we can, often confirmations filter into spam/junk especially with Gmail accounts, so make sure you check that first. If not give us a call and we will send one over to you straight away.

I want to change my dates (times) can I do this?

It depends how long it is until your rental date but a large majority of the time this is possible for no fee at all, you must however contact us directly.

Can I cancel my booking?

As long as its 48 hours before you want to pick up the vehicle then cancelling the booking is fine and free of any cost.

I’ve broken down please help!

Breakdowns happen, if this is the case then stay calm and search around the vehicle, there will be a breakdown number which is often Aa/Rac or something along those lines. You won’t have to pay a penny if the damage isn’t caused by you.

Can I Extend My Booking?

Given that there is availability that’s fine, just give us a call and we will arrange the best price for you again.

Do I need to pass a credit check if using my debit card to hire?

If renting a car in the UK and you are a UK resident most of the large multinational suppliers will carry out an electronic address check to ensure you have strong enough links to the address provided. However most of the suppliers with the exception of 1 or 2, still carry out the same checks so not unique to when you need to hire via a debit card. Key indicator are if you are named on the Electoral Register and named on the council tax bill.

When renting a car overseas as an inbound client our suppliers do not carry out any checks.

Do I need to leave a deposit if hiring with a debit card?

Most suppliers do require a security deposit when renting a car, in the UK we have a range of options. The best value suppliers would request a £200.00 – £300.00 deposit. However we do have selected locations where our supplier does not require any deposit, so a full zero deposit.

In Europe we have options where you can just leave a fuel deposit of 110 EUR, and there is no mandatory requirement to take the Super Cover as this can be the case with some of the smaller budget suppliers.
