Are you under the age of 25? You may have already discovered how hard it is to get your hands on a hired vehicle as most companies have insurance restrictions that don’t allow them to give their cars out to those considered young drivers. This can be really problematic as just like anyone else young drivers may need to get a vehicle, so we looked at this and decided to attempt to try and make our customers happy and negotiate an offer for young driver car hire at Sheffield.

If you are under 23 then usually you wouldn’t be able to hire a car, however we have organised a deal that means from the age of 21 you can hire given that you have held your licence for a year prior to doing so. You will however be subject to a young driver additional daily fee but we will try and get you the best overall price with all the optional extra included.

23 Or Over?

You’re in for a treat if you are 23 or over, we have managed to arrange a fantastic offer for you one that we didn’t expect to be gifted with. We can offer those who are 23 or 24 car hire with just a small young driver additional fee. That will save you a ton of money as often the additional fee exceeds the cost of the rental.

Do I need to pass a credit check if using my debit card to hire?

If renting a car in the UK and you are a UK resident most of the large multinational suppliers will carry out an electronic address check to ensure you have strong enough links to the address provided. However most of the suppliers with the exception of 1 or 2, still carry out the same checks so not unique to when you need to hire via a debit card. Key indicator are if you are named on the Electoral Register and named on the council tax bill.

When renting a car overseas as an inbound client our suppliers do not carry out any checks.

Do I need to leave a deposit if hiring with a debit card?

Most suppliers do require a security deposit when renting a car, in the UK we have a range of options. The best value suppliers would request a £200.00 – £300.00 deposit. However we do have selected locations where our supplier does not require any deposit, so a full zero deposit.

In Europe we have options where you can just leave a fuel deposit of 110 EUR, and there is no mandatory requirement to take the Super Cover as this can be the case with some of the smaller budget suppliers.
