Then unfortunately for you hiring a car is going to be a real struggle, it irritates many however its fact that most rental companies don’t hire cars to drivers who are under the age of 25. We really didn’t feel this was fair as tons of our young drivers were being let down by car hire companies at Dundee and we wanted to do something about it to ensure that they could get behind the wheel of a rental vehicle.

Then we can still help you, the deal we managed to arrange means that now drivers from the age of 21 can hire given that they have held their licence for a year prior to picking up the vehicle. 23 Or Over?
This is one of the best deals we have managed to arrange in a while, we can now get car hire for 23 and 24 year olds with only a small young driver additional charge! That right, low young driver additional fee, this will save you an incredible amount on your rental as on occasions young driver surcharges have been known to be more expensive that the car itself.

How much deposit does a young driver need to pay in Dundee

If you are 23 or 24 years of age, our office in Dundee does not hold any security deposit, so it is a zero deposit offering for young drivers.

Renters simply need to be in employment.

Do you rent to new license holders in Dundee

Yes new drivers wanting to rent in Dundee are most welcome, this cannot be in conjunction with our young driver car hire offers, the driver would need to be 25 or over if they have recently received their drivers license.

Do you charge a deposit when I rent a car in Dundee?

Deposits can vary, but the maximum deposit you would be expected to leave when renting your vehicle in Dundee would be £200.

Subject to stocks levels and lead time of your booking we can offer the renter deposit free rental at Dundee for those who are not looking to have any funds tied up for the duration of their rental.

Do I need to pass a credit check if using my debit card to hire?

If renting a car in the UK and you are a UK resident most of the large multinational suppliers will carry out an electronic address check to ensure you have strong enough links to the address provided. However most of the suppliers with the exception of 1 or 2, still carry out the same checks so not unique to when you need to hire via a debit card. Key indicator are if you are named on the Electoral Register and named on the council tax bill.

When renting a car overseas as an inbound client our suppliers do not carry out any checks.

Do I need to leave a deposit if hiring with a debit card?

Most suppliers do require a security deposit when renting a car, in the UK we have a range of options. The best value suppliers would request a £200.00 – £300.00 deposit. However we do have selected locations where our supplier does not require any deposit, so a full zero deposit.

In Europe we have options where you can just leave a fuel deposit of 110 EUR, and there is no mandatory requirement to take the Super Cover as this can be the case with some of the smaller budget suppliers.
