Mitsubishi is known for being a car manufacturer that is owned by a group of companies in Japan, the company was first founded in 1870 by Iwasaki Yataro. Since first being established as a fishing firm Mitsubishi have come a long way they have several products for mining, shipbuilding, telecom services, real estate, oil and gas as well as several other products produced including the automotive industry in which they have seen great success.

Mitsubishi Motors Corporation took until 1970 to be founded but is now the sixteenth biggest worldwide production car. The company produce a range of vehicles including several electric, passenger, medium sized and motorsport vehicles, however unfortunately we don’t hire out the motorsport vehicles for insurance reasons.

The manufacturer have seen great success in recent years and have managed to make a net income of 23.8 billion yen which is equivalent to 150.8 million pounds, a considerable amount. We can offer Mitsubishis to hire on short term rentals, long term rentals and leases enquire if you are interested!

Mitsubishi History

The automotive side of Mitsubishi branched off from the heavy industry sector, the brand also used to be the biggest industrial group in Japan. Things really started to take off for Mitsubishi when they connected with Chrysler in the 1970s shortly after in 1980 reaching the landmark of productin one million cars and in 1982 Mitsubishi was introduced to the American market with the Tredia Sedan, Cordia and Starion Coupes. The manufacturer are still going strong today with large profits and several cars produced every year.

I did not regret contacting Indigo about Car rental services. Do I need to pass a credit check if using my debit card to hire?

If renting a car in the UK and you are a UK resident most of the large multinational suppliers will carry out an electronic address check to ensure you have strong enough links to the address provided. However most of the suppliers with the exception of 1 or 2, still carry out the same checks so not unique to when you need to hire via a debit card. Key indicator are if you are named on the Electoral Register and named on the council tax bill.

When renting a car overseas as an inbound client our suppliers do not carry out any checks.

Do I need to leave a deposit if hiring with a debit card?

Most suppliers do require a security deposit when renting a car, in the UK we have a range of options. The best value suppliers would request a £200.00 – £300.00 deposit. However we do have selected locations where our supplier does not require any deposit, so a full zero deposit.

In Europe we have options where you can just leave a fuel deposit of 110 EUR, and there is no mandatory requirement to take the Super Cover as this can be the case with some of the smaller budget suppliers.
