Car Hire Falmouth With A Debit Card

Are you wanting to hire a car but don’t have a credit card in your name? This can be a real daunting task as majority of companies will not allow for you to hire with any other payment option. This is obviously quite a big issue as there are a significant amount of people that want to hire cars but don’t have a credit card in their name for various reasons such as because of how easy it is to get into debt, which is understandable.

We wanted to help so that our customers weren’t let down, we got on the phone to all the suppliers in the Falmouth area and tried to get something arranged. Eventually we managed a fantastic deal, we can now accept debit card however as part of this there are restrictions that are in place. The restrictions still may change due to location and the supplier. We recommend that you contact our reservations team before you book, that way we can check your card complies with the restrictions. Yes I returned to indigo car hire because I like the service a lot! The guy I have spoken to both times (Rob) is extremely helpful and efficient. I can book through you for my brother as he doesn't have a credit card whereas I cannot use a lot of other providers. I book a lot of cars and I will always price indigo first in the future.
Definitely a five star rating from me.

The best car hire experience

I was struggling to hire a car for my holiday in Northern Ireland with just a debit card. I tried Indigo car hire. They were very prompt in responding to my email. After a few emails & sorting out what I required, a booking was made. I got back from my week holiday last night & everything was better than I could have expected. Do I need to pass a credit check if using my debit card to hire?

If renting a car in the UK and you are a UK resident most of the large multinational suppliers will carry out an electronic address check to ensure you have strong enough links to the address provided. However most of the suppliers with the exception of 1 or 2, still carry out the same checks so not unique to when you need to hire via a debit card. Key indicator are if you are named on the Electoral Register and named on the council tax bill.

When renting a car overseas as an inbound client our suppliers do not carry out any checks.

Do I need to leave a deposit if hiring with a debit card?

Most suppliers do require a security deposit when renting a car, in the UK we have a range of options. The best value suppliers would request a £200.00 – £300.00 deposit. However we do have selected locations where our supplier does not require any deposit, so a full zero deposit.

In Europe we have options where you can just leave a fuel deposit of 110 EUR, and there is no mandatory requirement to take the Super Cover as this can be the case with some of the smaller budget suppliers.
