About Vilnius Airport

Located in the capital city of Lithuania is Vilnius International Airport, the airport is located about 3.7 miles outside of the city centre. Being located in the capital city it is only the largest airport in terms of passenger traffic with 2.6 million passengers travelling through the airport each year out of the four airports located in the country, it’s also the second largest Baltic Island airport. There are several destinations to and from the airport including to places such as Leeds Bradford, Barcelona, Tel Aviv and Dortmund.

Young Driver Car Hire

Are you under the age of 25? Then hiring a car can be a bit of a nightmare as majority of companies will not allow to you to hire as their insurers do not allow for young drivers. We have however managed to arrange a deal with a particular supplier which will allow for young drivers to hire a car given that they are 21 and have held their licence for a year prior to hiring with us.

Debit Card Car Hire

Planning on hiring a car but don’t have a credit card in your name? This is problematic due to majority of car hire companies only being able to accept credit cards. We worked on this as many of our customers didn’t have credit cards, eventually it paid off and we can now happily announce that we accept debit cards at Vilnius Airport given that the card meets our restrictions that are in place.

Do I need to pass a credit check if using my debit card to hire?

If renting a car in the UK and you are a UK resident most of the large multinational suppliers will carry out an electronic address check to ensure you have strong enough links to the address provided. However most of the suppliers with the exception of 1 or 2, still carry out the same checks so not unique to when you need to hire via a debit card. Key indicator are if you are named on the Electoral Register and named on the council tax bill.

When renting a car overseas as an inbound client our suppliers do not carry out any checks.

Do I need to leave a deposit if hiring with a debit card?

Most suppliers do require a security deposit when renting a car, in the UK we have a range of options. The best value suppliers would request a £200.00 – £300.00 deposit. However we do have selected locations where our supplier does not require any deposit, so a full zero deposit.

In Europe we have options where you can just leave a fuel deposit of 110 EUR, and there is no mandatory requirement to take the Super Cover as this can be the case with some of the smaller budget suppliers.
