In the case of a “young driver”, typically those under 25 are considered this demographic and are typically subject to these restrictions. Fortunately, we do work with a number of suppliers who can provide some alternatives and as such, help you with a young driver car hire.

Low Deposit / No Deposit Car Hire

You can rest assured we know better than most the kind of damage a trip abroad can have on our bank accounts in regard to travel expenses. From this, we have worked with suppliers to arrange a better solution that should hopefully lessen the burden of managing budgets. A low deposit car hire will ensure that you won’t be spending as much on the initial deposit often required by suppliers. We may however be able to go even further, with a no deposit car hire and remove the need for one entirely. This service is however entirely dependent on what the supplier has available and we cannot guarantee it.

What car is best for Belgium?

Belgium is a modestly sized country and as such most vehicles are appropriate, even electric vehicles

How long will my deposit take to come back?

As soon as you return the car the security deposit is released / refunded at the car hire suppliers end, however it normally takes between 7-10 working days for the deposit to show in your account but the time really does just depend on how quickly your bank updates your account. The rental suppliers do not have any control on how long it takes.

Can I drop the car off at a different location?

Yes – we work with several suppliers who provide this service. Avis can offer this for free sometimes but usually is a one way rental

How to hire a car without credit card?

Rent a car without a debit card is possible, our best answer is to just contact our reservations team we can for sure arrange a car hire if you only have a debit card. Worth noting the debit card does need to be in the drivers name.

Indigo has been terrific.

I failed to book a complicated itinerary myself on the Internet, and was hugely relieved to be able to feed our requirements to Indigo who explained the difficulties and then for us achieved exactly what we wanted. Do I need to pass a credit check if using my debit card to hire?

If renting a car in the UK and you are a UK resident most of the large multinational suppliers will carry out an electronic address check to ensure you have strong enough links to the address provided. However most of the suppliers with the exception of 1 or 2, still carry out the same checks so not unique to when you need to hire via a debit card. Key indicator are if you are named on the Electoral Register and named on the council tax bill.

When renting a car overseas as an inbound client our suppliers do not carry out any checks.

Do I need to leave a deposit if hiring with a debit card?

Most suppliers do require a security deposit when renting a car, in the UK we have a range of options. The best value suppliers would request a £200.00 – £300.00 deposit. However we do have selected locations where our supplier does not require any deposit, so a full zero deposit.

In Europe we have options where you can just leave a fuel deposit of 110 EUR, and there is no mandatory requirement to take the Super Cover as this can be the case with some of the smaller budget suppliers.
