The only prerequisites in place are that you are at least 21 and have held your licence for 12 months.

No Deposit Car Hire

Having to put down a large deposit, regardless of what it is for, is less than ideal, to say the least. Depending on the vehicle, the deposit can in some cases exceed the rental price itself. It goes without saying that this simply does not work for some people. Hopefully, with a no-deposit car hire you can stay more in line with your budget.

One-Way Car Hire

Following the trend of providing convenience, a one-way car hire may be something of interest. If you are not aware, when returning your vehicle rental, it must be returned directly to the supplier from which it was retrieved. This can result in cumbersome back-and-forth travel. With this service, however, you can instead drop it off at a different location that should be closer to where you’re planning on travelling to.

Free Additional Driver

Usually, to add another driver to your vehicle rental, an additional fee is required. Whether you’re driving a long distance and need to switch out drivers or simply think it’s more convenient to allow another driver, we can offer a free additional driver offer for you to take advantage of.

What ID do I need to collect my car?

When collecting the car local customers will need Drivers Licence, DVLA Share Code, 2 x Proofs of address and a payment card in the drivers name. For overseas customers (Inbound Customers), the driver will need to have Drivers Licence, DVLA Share code if on a UK Licence, Passport, Payment Card and return flight ticket. Some suppliers do not require any proofs of address as long as you pass a soft address check. If you have any questions relating to ID we advise to book over the phone with our team rather than online to ensure you have the correct ID.

Can my car be delivered?

We only offer delivery and collection on 7 day plus rentals in selected parts of the UK, we do however offer a pick up service throughout the UK. This means you will be collected from your home address and taken to the nearest rental location to complete the handover of the car. This service is not available to book online, please reach out to our reservations team to request this service.

How long will my deposit take to come back?

As soon as you return the car the security deposit is released / refunded at the car hire suppliers end, however it normally takes between 7-10 working days for the deposit to show in your account but the time really does just depend on how quickly your bank updates your account. The rental suppliers do not have any control on how long it takes.

Can I drop the car off at a different location?

Yes – we work with several suppliers who provide this service. Avis can offer this for free sometimes but usually is a one way rental

Do I need to pass a credit check if using my debit card to hire?

If renting a car in the UK and you are a UK resident most of the large multinational suppliers will carry out an electronic address check to ensure you have strong enough links to the address provided. However most of the suppliers with the exception of 1 or 2, still carry out the same checks so not unique to when you need to hire via a debit card. Key indicator are if you are named on the Electoral Register and named on the council tax bill.

When renting a car overseas as an inbound client our suppliers do not carry out any checks.

Do I need to leave a deposit if hiring with a debit card?

Most suppliers do require a security deposit when renting a car, in the UK we have a range of options. The best value suppliers would request a £200.00 – £300.00 deposit. However we do have selected locations where our supplier does not require any deposit, so a full zero deposit.

In Europe we have options where you can just leave a fuel deposit of 110 EUR, and there is no mandatory requirement to take the Super Cover as this can be the case with some of the smaller budget suppliers.
