Short Term Leasing

Short term leasing is a scaled down version of long term leasing or contract hire. you select the car you would like, the number of months you would like it for and the mileage allowance you need. You will then be given a manageable monthly cost (usually +vat).

You will then need to arrange a fully comprehensive insurance policy that covers the leased vehicle before you can drive away.

Some of the offers can include a maintenance package but for most short terms leasing deals you will be liable for the upkeep and condition of the vehicle.

Short term leasing can be beneficial for those with an adverse credit history looking for a lease or contract hire. Short term leasing with no credit checks is available with one supplier and we can also arrange short term leasing without a large upfront deposit.

Vat and comprehensive insurance is included in all of the below offers. Prices are per calendar month and a low deposit of £250 is payable with the first payment. Mileage is limited to 2,000 per month.

Trustworthy

Used indigo twice now. They are very easy to use and do exactly as they say. The low deposit was great for me - as was the Visa Debit option. Rare to find a company with no catches so will definitely use these guys on my next trip.

Car hire service

Service from both Matt and Sam was friendly and effective. Only issue was a car hire and details was arranged with Matt at 07h26 and he did not ff through and close the car hire. No confirmation quote was sent or payment made. He left me hanging and i was only able to secure the car with a later pm call with Sam.

Do I need to pass a credit check if using my debit card to hire?

If renting a car in the UK and you are a UK resident most of the large multinational suppliers will carry out an electronic address check to ensure you have strong enough links to the address provided. However most of the suppliers with the exception of 1 or 2, still carry out the same checks so not unique to when you need to hire via a debit card. Key indicator are if you are named on the Electoral Register and named on the council tax bill.

When renting a car overseas as an inbound client our suppliers do not carry out any checks.

Do I need to leave a deposit if hiring with a debit card?

Most suppliers do require a security deposit when renting a car, in the UK we have a range of options. The best value suppliers would request a £200.00 – £300.00 deposit. However we do have selected locations where our supplier does not require any deposit, so a full zero deposit.

In Europe we have options where you can just leave a fuel deposit of 110 EUR, and there is no mandatory requirement to take the Super Cover as this can be the case with some of the smaller budget suppliers.
