The Spring and Summer are just around the corner, which sees the usual influx of our clients renting cars in Portugal, this year we have added a new twist to our car rental offers, whilst we have supported young drivers for some years now, we are now offering car hire to new drivers, therefore if you are one of the people who have recently received their driver’s license we can offer you a rental vehicle.

No need to wait for the usual 12 months or 24 months before you can enjoy the road trips that Portugal has to offer. We can also combine this offer with our young driver’s car hire offer, so if you are 19 and have had your license for under 12 months, we invite you to step Indigo’s way and let us take the hassle out of arranging your rental.

These New Driver Car Hire Portugal packages do need to be arranged directly through our reservations team to ensure the booking is placed with the correct partner. It is worth confirming that new drivers are at no disadvantage in terms of pricing or terms, the same low rates can be gained and there is no increased insurance excess due to the lack of driving experience.

Credit or debit cards can be used for holding deposits on arrival. If you are using a debit card, you will be required to purchase direct super relax insurance which will reduce your damage and theft liability to zero and reduce the holding deposit.
