• • What type of debit cards do you accept? All standard Visa and MasterCard debit cards are accepted if they are linked to a current account and have the driver’s name on them. We can also take Maestro and V-Pay cards, just not prepaid or top-up cards.
  • Is it more expensive to rent with a debit card? There are no extra charges/fees to renting with a debit card, though you are more limited in the options available which can affect the price sometimes.
  • What is the age limit? 18 and above, though there may be a small surcharge if you are under 23. No upper age limit either!
  • Where can I collect from? We have branches available at the airport, the main Barcelona Sants Train Station, and also downtown branches within the city and surrounding areas.
  • How long do I have to have held a licence for? Just a single day – we can offer car hire to new drivers across Spain, including Barcelona.
  • Do I have to leave a deposit? Only a very small fuel deposit, roughly 100 EUR.
  • Do I need extra insurance? No, all rentals come with standard insurance included, though you can take out extra if you want to. We can offer low deposit rentals either way though, and also have an offer available for complete coverage for less than £5 per day by clicking the link here.
  • What ID do I need to bring? Just your licence and passport, and an international driving permit if the licence is in a Non-Roman alphabet.
  • Do the cars have a mileage limit? No, if you need unlimited mileage just let us know and we can ensure you have it.
  • Can I take the car cross border? Yes, you can take the car into most of western Europe for no extra charge, just make sure we are aware when you are booking the vehicle.

• YOUNG / SENIOR DRIVER HIRE –  In Barcelona, we can rent to drivers as young as 18 with only a very low young driver surcharge if you are under 23. Spain is also a notoriously difficult place for those renting over the age of 75  – not so with Indigo! No max age on our rentals and no senior driver fee either.
• NEW DRIVER HIRE – Renting a car with less than a year’s driving experience is next to impossible with most companies, luckily though we have an option with no experience needed! Even if you only passed yesterday we can rent to you, and for no extra charge!
• ZERO EXCESS BUNDLES – If you want complete cover included in front with complete peace of mind in case of damage/theft then this is the option for you. You can prepay for the full rental and insurance upfront, leaving nothing but a fuel deposit to hold when you arrive.
• UNLIMITED MILEAGE – Great for those traveling a lot on holiday, we can offer unlimited mileage for no extra cost.
• FREE ADDITIONAL DRIVERS – It can be frustrating designating one person as the sole driver – with Indigo though you can add on extra drivers free of charge!
• CROSS BORDER – A great option for those planning a continental road trip, or perhaps just a couple of days in neighbouring France or Andorra. With our cross border deals, there is no charge at all to take the car into most of Europe!
• ONE-WAY HIRE – If you need to return to a different location then look no further – whether it’s just returning to the airport instead of the city, or returning to a different city entirely, we can arrange one-way hires with very low and even zero extra charges. The only limit is that it does have to be returned back to Spain.
• NO/LOW DEPOSIT HIRE – Struggling to arrange over 1000 EUR just to be held on the card for the hire? With Indigo we can arrange rentals with nothing more than a fuel deposit (roughly 100 EUR).
