£300k Lamborghini Could Be Crushed

A Lamborghini Aventador picked up on Wilton Place in Knightsbridge could be destined for the tip. The flashy sports car was seized by police after the driver of the vehicle was found to be behind the wheel of the £300k car without any car insurance. What may be a crime in itself however is that officers are weighing up the possibility of crushing the car, it should be an offence in itself to crush such as beautiful car.

Operation Cubo has been going since 2011 which is a step up in crime fighting against those who are driving without insurance. So far Operation Cubo has seen 10,318 vehicles seized as part of the operation in just under 2 years as it started in October. The police are proud of this operation and almost seemingly boast they have seized several Porsches, BMW X5s and a Ferrari which all got crushed as well as several other vehicles. What doesn’t make sense about this case is that the car has a price tag of £300,000, yet the owner couldnt afford to insure themselves which is so easily done nowadays.

One thing is for sure the owner of the two door, two seater V12 engine car is going to be sorry that he never insured himself, this Aventador is just one of the 4,000 units that Lamborghini made as they limited the amount of units they would distribute, it will be sad to see it go but what other option do the officers have after all they crushed the previous Ferrari they had in their custody.
