Germany has a wealth of history and culture to offer, and is a popular all year round destination for our renters, to compliment our car hire services throughout Germany we are now offering car hire to new drivers when renting in Germany, therefore if you have held your license for less than 12 months Indigo can support you in renting a car.

Driver requirements for the new drivers are that they are aged 19 of over and have the correct category entitlement on their drivers license., and of course are able to present their photocard license at the rental desk.

These rental packages do not need to be arranged directly through our bookings team to ensure the booking is placed with the right rental brand. It is worth confirming that new drivers are at no disadvantage in terms of pricing or terms, the same low rates can be gained and there is no increased insurance excess due to the lack of driving experience.

Credit or debit cards can be used for holding deposits on arrival (Visa, Master card or Maestro), security deposits are kept to a minimum too, which most people find handy, 250 EUR is the security hold on arrival, released when the car is returned.
