For a car hire under 25, a significant number of suppliers will have stricter limits on the number of points a driver can have on their license. Typically, suppliers will hire drivers with up to 12 points on their licenses. Drivers under 25 however may only limit up to 6 or in some cases no points at all.

Alternatively, there is an additional insurance that comes at an extra daily cost. The benefit of this is that any excess in the event of an accident is reduced, sometimes to absolutely nothing. However, when communicating with the supplier themselves, more often you will be given several options with insurance on top of what you already have. We would recommend you not take any insurance that is not absolutely necessary.
