                About Stockholm Skavsta Airport

Located near Nykoping is the international airport Stockholm Skavsta Airport, almost deceivingly it is actually around 62 miles outside of the city of Stockholm. The airport is the third largest in Sweden in terms of passenger traffic which is at 2.5 million per year falling behind Stockholm Arlanda Airport and Goteborg Landvetter Airport, there are only a handful of destinations to and from the airport but the most popular of which include Stansted, Paphos, Malta, Malaga and Barcelona. Most people opt to hire cars at this airport due to its distance from the main city of Stockholm.

                Why Choose Indigo Car Hire?

Here at Indigo Car Hire we have several offers but the reason you should choose us most is because we can supply you with the best price available. We do this by comparing all the prices from all the car hire companies located within the airport, finding the lowest one and then furthermore applying our discounts to it in order to get it even lower. As well as doing this we will also monitor your booking from when you first reserve the car right up until you pick it up, this means if the price drops at all within this time then we can contact you to amend the booking and further save you more.

                Our Offers

There are several offers that we have managed to arrange at Stockholm Skavsta Airport, these have always been aimed towards increasing the availability of car hire to more people. Some of the best offers we have managed include….

                Debit Card Car Hire

Are you wanting to hire a car but don’t have a credit card in your own name? This can present a bit of an issue as majority of suppliers request that you have a credit card to be able to hire. However we have a deal organised with them directly and can now accept debit cards given that they meet our restrictions that are in place.

                Young Driver Car Hire

We can hire cars to young drivers between the ages of 19-24 (21-24 if you are not resident in Sweden) with absolutely no additional surcharge. Usually car rental companies require that you are 25 or above, all we require is that you are 19 or over and have held your licence for a year prior to hiring with us.

                Low Deposit Car Hire

Deposits often put people off of hiring cars due to how high they are, this doesn’t have to be the case however as we very easily managed to arrange a deal at Stockholm Airport. The deposit we have managed to lower this too is 100 Euro, unfortunately we couldn’t organise our no deposit deal but this is the second best thing. Please follow this link if you want more information on getting a low deposit car hire.

                Over 70 Car Hire

If you have reached your 70th birthday you may have found it increasingly difficult to hire a car, here at Indigo we have been working hard to find a solution and are happy to announce that we can now hire vehicles in Sweden with absolutely no upper age limit.

                Free Additional Driver

Do you want to add a second driver to your rental but are concerned about the cost of this? Well now you don’t have to be, we have managed to make it so you can add a driver completely free of any cost given of course they are qualified to hire themselves.

                Booking of car hire

First class service for booking car hire with a debit card. Prompt responses to emails and couldn't be more helpful. Just hope the actual car hire in June is as good an experience

Do I need to pass a credit check if using my debit card to hire?

If renting a car in the UK and you are a UK resident most of the large multinational suppliers will carry out an electronic address check to ensure you have strong enough links to the address provided. However most of the suppliers with the exception of 1 or 2, still carry out the same checks so not unique to when you need to hire via a debit card. Key indicator are if you are named on the Electoral Register and named on the council tax bill.

When renting a car overseas as an inbound client our suppliers do not carry out any checks.

Do I need to leave a deposit if hiring with a debit card?

Most suppliers do require a security deposit when renting a car, in the UK we have a range of options. The best value suppliers would request a £200.00 – £300.00 deposit. However we do have selected locations where our supplier does not require any deposit, so a full zero deposit.

In Europe we have options where you can just leave a fuel deposit of 110 EUR, and there is no mandatory requirement to take the Super Cover as this can be the case with some of the smaller budget suppliers.
