                Fiat Car Rental

An Italian automobile manufacturer which is based in Turin and founded in 1899 by Giovanni Agnelli, Fiat since then have become a large company and even acquired shares in several other companies. They acquired Lancia in 1968, bought themselves shares in Ferrari in 1969, they also took control of Alfa Romeo from the Italian government in 1986, bought Maserati back in 1933 and recently became a major shareholder of Chrysler in 2011. Despite this they are still only the fourth largest European automaker falling behind Renault, Psa and Volkswagen Group.

Fiat have a wide range of cars available from the really small to the larger vehicles, these choices range anywhere from the Fiat 500 to the Fiat Doblo. Get your hands on one of these vehicles today by hiring them through Indigo car hire.

The company recorded a total profit of 3.8 billion euros in 2012 and sold 4.2 million units. If you want to hire a Fiat we have them on a wide range of deals including short term car hire, long term car hire and leases which you can find out more information about by contacting us.

Fiat also have Abarth as one of their brands which produce sports versions of their vehicles which we also have available to hire, so if you are wanting to hire an Abarth then let us know!

They have truly had a wide range of products available and are available in almost every country worldwide (trade in Spain under the name Seat).

Do I need to pass a credit check if using my debit card to hire?

If renting a car in the UK and you are a UK resident most of the large multinational suppliers will carry out an electronic address check to ensure you have strong enough links to the address provided. However most of the suppliers with the exception of 1 or 2, still carry out the same checks so not unique to when you need to hire via a debit card. Key indicator are if you are named on the Electoral Register and named on the council tax bill.

When renting a car overseas as an inbound client our suppliers do not carry out any checks.

Do I need to leave a deposit if hiring with a debit card?

Most suppliers do require a security deposit when renting a car, in the UK we have a range of options. The best value suppliers would request a £200.00 – £300.00 deposit. However we do have selected locations where our supplier does not require any deposit, so a full zero deposit.

In Europe we have options where you can just leave a fuel deposit of 110 EUR, and there is no mandatory requirement to take the Super Cover as this can be the case with some of the smaller budget suppliers.
