                About Lyon Airport

Lyon, often referred to as Lyon Saint-Exupéry Airport is based approximately 30km east of the city centre and only 130km from the French/Swiss border. The airport is one of the busiest in France and a popular destination for all types of holiday makers.

Car hire Lyon Airport can quickly become difficult with so many suppliers offering various different options. At Indigo we simplify the need to call or search around all the individual companies for the best price. We will do all the leg work for you. Our powerful search system will match your car hire requirements with what is available and offer the best options.

Here at Indigo we pride ourselves on finding you the best deal not only in terms of price but the overall rental package. That’s why all the prices we quote are inclusive of everything you need to hire a vehicle; mileage, insurance, local taxes, road fund licence and breakdown cover. Of course there are additional extra’s you may wish to purchase such as an additional driver to help share the driving, a navigation unit so you’re never lost or many more but unlike some other rental companies with Indigo the price you are quoted is the price you pay, we also offer fantastic deals one of which is that we can offer 4×4 car hire at Lyon airport. You can rent with confidence that everything is taken care of when using Indigo Car Hire.

Debit Card Car Hire Lyon Airport

In addition to the usual credit card payments accepted by most rental companies we have now secured a supplier that will allow our customers to use a major debit cards when renting in France. This means you can hire a car without a credit card without any problems when collecting your car.

                Young Driver Car Hire

We also again like previously mentioned offer young driver car hire, many car hire companies don’t want to hire their cars out to young drivers however we don’t believe this is right and have managed to get young drivers from the age of 20 the ability to hire a car. This also comes with requirements however like you must have held your licence for two years and you must also pay an additional fee however you can rest assured we will also try find you the best deal on the additional fee as well trying to give you a more affordable car hire option.

Struggling to get the funds together for the holiday, the car hire and wait the deposit that comes with that too? We have found a solution for you, we can hire our cars out without a deposit. Sometimes however car rental with no deposit is unavailable due to low availability during peak season therefore we also arranged a backup offer of low deposit car hire which is just the deposit on the full tank of fuel.

Looking to continue on from Lyon Airport and head off into nearby French Alps for a skiing adventure or otherwise? We offer Lyon car hire with winter tyres to allow you to drive around in the snow with ease.

                A+ Service !

First time using Indigo. Ben answered all my questions quickly and sorted a great deal even with a DR10 conviction. Definitely going to be using them next time I need to hire a vehicle. Thanks Indigo!

Do I need to pass a credit check if using my debit card to hire?

If renting a car in the UK and you are a UK resident most of the large multinational suppliers will carry out an electronic address check to ensure you have strong enough links to the address provided. However most of the suppliers with the exception of 1 or 2, still carry out the same checks so not unique to when you need to hire via a debit card. Key indicator are if you are named on the Electoral Register and named on the council tax bill.

When renting a car overseas as an inbound client our suppliers do not carry out any checks.

Do I need to leave a deposit if hiring with a debit card?

Most suppliers do require a security deposit when renting a car, in the UK we have a range of options. The best value suppliers would request a £200.00 – £300.00 deposit. However we do have selected locations where our supplier does not require any deposit, so a full zero deposit.

In Europe we have options where you can just leave a fuel deposit of 110 EUR, and there is no mandatory requirement to take the Super Cover as this can be the case with some of the smaller budget suppliers.
