Mileage trouble at Madrid?

Postby Indigo Ann-Marie » 09 Jul 2014, 14:36

With all rentals with GoldCar at Madrid Airport they're is a mileage limitation, so be a little careful in how much mileage you do throughout your hire period.

They do charge an additional fee of 0.18 Euros per every additional km, with the extra charge added on once you have returned the vehicle back to the branch.

Not all branches have a mileage cap, just a select few. The more popular locations such as Alicante and Malaga do have unlimited mileage, so if you're going to one of the more popular areas of Spain and doing quite a bit of driving around, then you won't have any problems.

The main reason for the mileage difference in branches is due to them being non-franchise branches, so they have fewer vehicles and have to keep an eye on the mileage, or when the vehicles are eventually sold on, the higher the mileage the less the vehicle is worth.

Interesting one Ann-Marie - the limit on miles works the same with a number of Franchise outfits across the world :-)

One that I will or sure watch out for though so thanks for the heads up :D
