CAR HIRE BARBADOS

It appears there is not a fitting category for this location, as strictly speaking Barbados is in the Caribbean and not North America, and personally I don’t see that much need for a hire car at this location based on the fact that the island is 34 k’s wide and 23 k’s long, I could run it just under 2 hours :-)

However with the above said we have rented a few cars from this location in the recent passed and the location below strengths our portfolio of debit card locations, slight condition in that you are required to take our top insurance upon arrival, but I suppose based on what we have heard about the network / quality of the roads that might be an advisable thing, essentially this means that if the vehicle is damaged then no liability is held with the driver, different companies term it as different things, this as you can see also provides (as is usually the case) with a reduced deposit, as you can see with the below example the deposit held upon collection of the rental vehicle is zero, which of course is a bonus as I would imgine Barbados is one of those places that sucks up money :-)

To view what types of debit cards are accepted and to learn more about the whole debit vs credit debate when renting a car, view the below page for a starter.

Grantley Adams Airport in Barbados can accept debit cards as long as you take out the extra insurance. Charge depends on size of vehicle, go by what is on CTW and reduces excess down to $150 and deposit to zero.

Update on this one Guys and Girls located another supplier at Grantley Adams that does not need a credit card upon arrival, we are making some updates to our page to reflect this new supplier along with their terms, thanks for sharing this with us Ann-Marie :)

Can accept debit cards.
Full excess held on card, 1750 USD for 8 seat for example. Can reduce on this size of vehicle for 280 USD Plus tax per week, reduces to 125 USD Plus tax.
Meet in the arrivals hall with a board and Dollar/Coconut car rental on there.
Need to establish what the deposit hold is on the smaller range of vehicle, but please confirm this on a request basis.
