Car Rental For Young Drivers In Schiphol Airport

If you are under the age of 25 then you will realise that hiring a car can be a real issue, this is due to insurance policies that the car hire companies use. One of the locations in which it can be very difficult to hire a car under 25 is Schiphol airport, therefore due to high demand with it being one of the busiest airports in the world we tried to do something about this and arrange a deal for our younger customers so that they will be able to hire.

Eventually we managed to do something about this and 2 great deals for our customers; the minimum age that we can hire to is 21 given that you have held your licence for a year prior to hiring with us. You must also have 6 points or under in order to be accepted with no major convictions. The 2 offers are as follows…

Our Offers

1.-If you are 21 or 22 years old and have had your licence for at least 2 years, you are eligible to hire a car at Dubrovnik Airport. Unfortunately, this offer does require a young drivers additional charge which we try our best to keep at a minimum.

2.-If you are 23 or 24 and have had your licence for at least 2 years prior to booking, you can hire a car at Dubrovnik Airport. The difference with this offer is that the young drivers surcharge is significantly less due to the age difference.

Do I need to pass a credit check if using my debit card to hire?

If renting a car in the UK and you are a UK resident most of the large multinational suppliers will carry out an electronic address check to ensure you have strong enough links to the address provided. However most of the suppliers with the exception of 1 or 2, still carry out the same checks so not unique to when you need to hire via a debit card. Key indicator are if you are named on the Electoral Register and named on the council tax bill.

When renting a car overseas as an inbound client our suppliers do not carry out any checks.

Do I need to leave a deposit if hiring with a debit card?

Most suppliers do require a security deposit when renting a car, in the UK we have a range of options. The best value suppliers would request a £200.00 – £300.00 deposit. However we do have selected locations where our supplier does not require any deposit, so a full zero deposit.

In Europe we have options where you can just leave a fuel deposit of 110 EUR, and there is no mandatory requirement to take the Super Cover as this can be the case with some of the smaller budget suppliers.
