Newcastle Footballer Faces False ID Charges

No one can escape when it comes to traffic offences, Newcastle united star Cheick Tiote is facing charges after several accusations of driving related offences. One of which was a very serious offence of using a false identification document. The 27 year old Newcastle’s star midfielder could see a large fine or a lengthy prison sentence if found guilty which will surely affect his footballing career.

Cheick Tiote is up for some pretty serious offences, he was recently caught possessing and presenting a false document used to establish personal information about himself that its believe he “knew it was false”. On top of these charges he also has a charge dating back from September 2011 which was making a false statement to obtain car insurance, he was also found to be driving his Chevrolet with a personalised T10 TEV plate without a licence in February and to wrap it all together he was found driving without third party insurance on the same date as the previous offence.

Will Tiote get a prison sentence like anyone else? Or will he escape this due to his line of work and total worth, I wonder what words Newcastle will have to say about it will they defend or condone their star midfielder?

Cheick Tiote has been granted bail until July 5th when he will have to return to the crowns court to find out his sentence. He is currently on a contract that sees him earn around £40,000/p week for the next 6 ½ years, it’s not like he was short a few bucks and couldn’t afford it. In any case I don’t think Tiote will be able to hire a car at least for the next few years with the tight driving convictions rules.
