UK To France Car Hire

Car Hire suppliers don’t like allowing customers to go abroad with a car that they hire within the UK. This conflicts with what a lot of people want, which is to hire a car in the UK from a trust worthy supplier that are familiar with and take it abroad. One of the most popular requests we get is UK to France Car Hire. London to Inverness is a longer route than London to France and you would easily be allowed to hire a car to travel from London to Inverness but can sometimes struggle if you are going from London to France.

We at Indigo didn’t think this made sense, so we worked out a deal with a select few of our suppliers which means we can allow you to take a car from the UK to France, this includes all types of vehicles with the exception of 15-17 seat minibuses and some vans. As part of the terms and conditions if you are collecting a car in the UK and taking it across to France to visit places like Disneyland Paris etc, you are allowed to do so however you cannot collect a car in UK and leave the car in France/ Europe. You must return back to the UK.

The only way to get these offers and specific deals is to call and talk to our reservations team to organise you all the deals. There is often an additional fee to take the vehicle overseas which varies depending on how many days you are out of the country for. This is to cover the cost of the green card which allows you to be covered on the European Insurance and Breakdown Cover. We also offer cover for other countries. This can be restricted with certain countries, so always check with us directly to ensure that travel into the country you are going to is accepted before booking the vehicle. Overseas cover is not available on the website, you must speak to us directly to ensure you are aware of costs and that you can arrange your overseas cover with Indigo.
