Excess Reimbursement cover

Indigo can now offer excess reimbursement cover through the use of a 3rd party excess policy. Car hire companies when you go to hire a car offer you the chance majority of the time to reduce your excess down to zero meaning in the unlikely event of an accident you won’t have to pay a penny out of your own pocket. Unfortunately however this costs an additional fee per day in order for them to give you this policy.

Although we can find some good deals on zero excess policies at Indigo there has been extreme cases where the daily excess has exceeded the cost of the car rental! This is ridiculous in anyone’s opinion, the daily excess has been known to reach £22.50/p day extra and this charge is on top of the car rental charge. We have a great solution to this issue however and have come up with a method of decreasing the cost for our customers in relation to their car hire.

We offer excess reimbursement cover which is essentially zero excess but via a 3rd party company; this deal is potentially useful for our regular car hire customers. The idea of this policy is it’s a yearly fee of £42.50 and its available in EU countries for EU residents only this covers you for the full year and would work out a lot less than a daily fee if you are a regular travel.

The way in which this policy works is if you damage a hired vehicle then you pay the excess and after which the company reimburses you with the full payment money. This is available for drivers between the ages of 21-85. If you are interested in this policy then you should call our reservation team here at Indigo and they will direct you in the right direction.
